Extra-Curricular Activities
Aspull Church Primary School provides a wide range of extra-curricular clubs which take place before school, at lunch times and after school. These clubs include a range of sporting, creative, mindfulness and drama activities such as football, netball, rugby, karate, multi skills, yoga, Pilates, arts and crafts, science experiments, drama performances and music.
Sport
The school is very keen to promote sport as part of the curriculum and extra-curricular. As well as the regular clubs, the school also invites a range of professional coaches in to provide the children with opportunities to try other sports which include Multi Skills Sports with Wigan Athletic Football Club, Judo with Judo Education and a range of half termly sporting clubs with premier sports.
Opportunities are given to compete in sport and other activities to help build children’s confidence as well as their sporting abilities. We encourage all children to take part in sports to the best of their ability and to try new clubs so they can gain an understanding of what they enjoy.
The school regularly takes part in Inter-School competitions with local schools, such as Cross-Country competitions, football tournaments and sports hall athletics evenings. We also participate and are well represented in the annual Aspull Schools Swimming Gala. We always involve as many children as possible in our sporting events and give them all the opportunity to take part.
Please see our latest Newsletter for details of the clubs we are currently offering.
